‘Casanova’ will be my best: Roma

Young actress Roma who had became a notable face in Malayalam with films like ‘Chocolate’ and ‘Notebook’ expects her role in the new movie 'Casanova' to be one of the best ones that happened to her, in a filmy career of seven years. Roma is appearing as Ann Mary, one of the heroines of Mohanlal in this new movie. I had been eagerly awaiting for a character that will be better than my 'Sara Elizabeth' of ‘Notebook’ which catapulted me to popularity. This Ann Mary' is one such character gifted to me by director Roshan Andrews' says Roma.

The shoot for the movie which will also feature Lakshmi Rai and Shriya Saran is progressing in a brisk pace.

കോളിവുഡ് താരം ആര്യയും പൃഥ്വിയും ആദ്യമായി ഒന്നിക്കുന്നു. റോഷന്‍ ആന്‍ഡ്രൂസിന്റെ മുംബൈ പോലീസിലാണ് ഇരുവരും ഒരുമിക്കുന്നത്. റോഷന്റെ പ്രിയ തിരക്കഥാ കൃത്തുക്കളായ ബോബിയും സഞ്ജയ് യുടേയുമാണ് തിരക്കഥ.

റോഷന്റെ തന്നെ പുതിയ നിര്‍മാണ കമ്പനിയായ 1000എഡിയുടെ ബാനറില്‍ നിരമിക്കുന്ന ചിത്രത്തില്‍ മൂന്ന് നായികമാരാനുള്ളത്. എന്നാല്‍ ചിത്രത്തിലെ നായികമാരെ ഇതുവരെ തീരുമാനിച്ചിട്ടില്ല. പുതുമുഖത്തെയാണ് റോഷന്‍ തേടുന്നത്. അതിനുവേണ്ടി ടാലന്റ് ഹണ്ട് നടത്താനും പദ്ധതിയുണ്ട്.

റോഷന്റെ ബിഗ് ബജറ്റ് ചിത്രമായ ‘കാസനോവ’ പാതിവഴിയിലെത്തി നില്‍ക്കെയാണ് പുതിയ ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ പൂജനടന്നത്. ‘കാസനോവ’യുടെ ഷൂട്ടിങ് പൂര്‍ത്തിയായ ശേഷം അടുത്ത ജൂണില്‍ മുംബൈ പോലീസിന്റെ ചിത്രീകരണം ആരംഭിയ്ക്കാനാണ് തീരുമാനം. 2011ക്രിസ്തുമസിന് ചിത്രം തിയേറ്ററുകളിലെത്തിക്കാന്‍ കഴിയുമെന്നാണ് അണിയറ പ്രവര്‍ത്തകരുടെ വിശ്വാസം.

Mohanlal's Roshan Andrews directed Casanova was to release in February.

But the shoot of the film is still going on in bits and parts in Dubai. The first schedule is getting over in Dubai by December 12.

Later Roshan plans to do a Bangkok schedule which will happen only after Mohanlal completes his current assignments.

Meanwhile Mohanlal has to complete some talkie portions of his long delayed Joshy multi starrer Christian Brothers.

Next week the actor is moving on to his new Rafi Mecartin's Chinatown, a multi starrer which has Dileep and Jayaram too.

The buzz is that Casanova will be delayed and may release only in July.

It is obvious that Mohanlal is now giving top priority to Chinatown over Casanova. Both the films are being distributed by Max Lab.

The Rafi Mecartin directed film is said to be a rip-roaring comedy, with Mohanlal- Jayaram and Dileep sure to bring the house down.

Chinatown is scheduled to be over after its shoot in Kochi and Goa, and is slated for Vishu 2011 release.

Casanova was earlier planned to finish off at a stretch. But the Casanova crew was not able to start the Bangkok schedule. Mohanlal will join Christian Brother's this week at Mumbai and Chinatown by the mid of December.

Mohanlal to join Priyan's Hindi movie

Superstar Mohanlal will join his close friend Priyadarshan’s Hindi movie next week. The star who is presently in Dubai shooting for his new movie ‘Casanova’ with Roshan Andrews seems to have earmarked ten days for Priyan’s thriller.

The movie titled as ‘Tez’, also features Ajay Devgun, Anil Kapoor and Thushar Kapoor. Mohanlal will appear in the role of a police officer in the movie. Interestingly, Mohanlal played a police officer in all his previous appearances in Bollywood in movies like ‘Company’ and ‘RGV Ki Aag’.
