August 15, directed by Shaji Kailas is the Sequel of ‘August 1’ directed by Sibi Malayil in 1988. Mammootty staring again as Perumal (DSP), a brilliant Crime Branch Officer he fought against time to stop the looming murder attempt on the Kerala Chief Minister in the original movie.

Famous script writer S N Swami is doing the scrip for the film and M Mani is producing the film under Aroma Movie. The film is going to shoot entirely in the capital city, Thiruvananthapuram.
